Placements24 is seeking a Specialized Courier Driver for Vereeniging, Gauteng to securely transport pharmaceutical products and temperature‑sensitive materials. The role demands an impeccable driving record, knowledge of secure transport, and exceptional customer service within Gauteng and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of professional driving experience, experience with pharmaceuticals, and the ability to maintain temperature logs and strict documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Professional Driver's License (Code 10 or higher) with a spotless driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in courier/delivery services.
• Experience handling pharmaceuticals or temperature‑sensitive goods is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of secure transport and chain of custody procedures.
• Strong time management and route planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with reliability.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport pharmaceutical products and sensitive medical supplies.
• Ensure the integrity and security of all shipments from pickup to delivery.
• Maintain temperature logs for temperature-controlled shipments per pharmaceutical standards.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after each shift and report issues.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Plan efficient routes to ensure on‑time deliveries to pharmacies, hospitals, and clinics.
• Manage client interactions professionally and discreetly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and proof of delivery documentation.
• Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond effectively to delivery challenges and unforeseen circumstances.
