RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure smooth operations and strategic alignment within the company and the broader group
- Manage PGM (Platinum Group Metals) procurement and inventory, supporting various teams with forecasts and problem-solving, and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of key components
- Identify and ensure correction variances in PGM pool inventory volumes at each of the coaters and canners by doing monthly variance reports from SAP to ensure the correct price level
- Conduct audit physical inventory at the location at each of the canners at the end of the year to ensure correct stock levels
- Analyse inventory requirements by verifying the quantities with the suppliers to sustain the PGM supply chain
- Prepare and present, for approval, the Financial Liquidity report to ensure that we are within budget
- Prepare and issue PGM purchase order authorisations to PGM traders via SAP to ensure the timely availability of PGMs
- Analyse and approve PGM purchase invoices received from the suppliers to ensure alignment with pre-approved pricing parameters for PGM purchases
- Issue PGM sales invoices generated from SAP to PGM exporters to ensure timely financial recovery within the stipulated cost model time frame
- Prepare the Bill of Materials for each component in SAP by creating and maintaining the correct specification level to prevent over- and under-recovery
- Prepare and submit the annual PGM inventory forecast for the strategic finance planning team to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Prepare and submit the Beneficiation Licence Register (Diamond Report) to the South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator to comply with legislation
- Ensure alignment of selling price parameters between the group and South African coaters and canners to ensure correct pricing
- Manage supplier capacity requirements by visiting and liaising with locals to support ongoing production for group-nominated parts
- Prevent potential line stoppages by providing the necessary support and assisting coaters and canners with immediate and remedial actions to secure production
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving as and when required by involving all the relevant stakeholders to mitigate potential risks
- Develop and maintain work instructions about all PGM-related tasks and reports
- Develop and maintain a risk assessment by involving the relevant departments for all PGM-related tasks to prevent risks
