Job summary

Old Mutual is seeking a senior sales manager for KwaZulu-Natal to lead a branch of five Business Managers and ~15 Financial Advisers across client segments. You will shape regional strategy, recruit and develop teams, drive profitability, and ensure compliant sales practices while coordinating with service and operations support to optimize outcomes.

The role requires FAIS accreditation, NQF5, and preferably CFP/Coaching qualifications, with a focus on leadership, strategy, and sales performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 FAIS accredited NQF5 (120 credits) Full product holding accreditation.
• Preferable: CFP Management and/or coaching qualification.
• Experience leading regional sales teams and implementing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Regional/Area Sales Strategy and monitor area performance.
• Lead branch sales staff and manage performance, manpower and budgets.
• Drive sales growth, market share and client retention for the AREA.

Job Description

This is a regionally (area) based senior sales management role in the KwaZulu-Natal Region- Drakensburg area. The role manages a branch of sales staff comprising 5 Business Managers. Each Business Manager has a team of approximately 15 Financial Advisers that operate in different service/client segment models within PFA (Academy, Established Financial Adviser, Worksites/Old Mutual Finance). This role forms part of the regional EXCO team and contributes towards the leadership, direction, and sales strategy for the region. This role is responsible to set AREA business plan and strategies, manpower and sales targets/budgets and grow/drive AREA sales, market share and client retention strategies. Works collaboratively across different distribution channels within the area to optimize synergies and opportunities. This role is overall accountable for the compliant advice practices, risk management and operations of the branch under their control. This role works closely with service and operations support functions to ensure related sales support procedures and standards are adhered to and effectively running to enable sales.

Qualifications and Experience required
