Job summary

Unitrans is seeking a Petroleum Tanker Driver in Milnerton, Western Cape, to operate heavy-vehicle transport routes for Cape Fuel. The role requires a Grade 12, PrDP license if needed, and at least 3 years of petroleum driving experience.

You must maintain a safe driving record, handle dispatch documentation, and be willing to work shifts including weekends and public holidays. A clean criminal record is preferred and the position is a temporary fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
• Code EC PrDP – “D” if required to operate a DG vehicle
• At least 3 years’ petroleum tanker driving experience
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for a trip
• Operate ultra heavy duty vehicles
• Perform vehicle inspection before and after the trip
• Handle documentation from dispatch to the customer and back to the distribution centre
• Takes full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle when leaving the depot
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Account for all the goods that are being transported to the customer
• Follow all other reasonable instructions from supervisor
