Job description

ARRCS Pulkapulkka Kari Flexible Aged Care home in Tennant Creek, NT, is seeking a qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role involves providing in-home care to elderly consumers within the Tennant Creek community. The position is based in Tennant Creek, NT.

Salary ranges from $35.01 to $36.55 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

The role includes shared, subsidized housing and relocation support of up to $5,000, including GST. It is ideal for individuals with care and compassion who enjoy traveling to clients' homes, providing care, and supporting their independence. Candidates should have prior experience in aged care or disability support and possess the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their duties with respect and professionalism.

Applicants must hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Care (Ageing or Disability), a current First Aid Certificate (within 3 years), and current CPR (within 12 months). A strong work ethic and commitment to high standards of care and wellbeing are essential. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Care
  • Experience assisting with activities of daily living in aged care, disability, or home care settings
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse team
  • Manual handling skills relevant to the role
  • NT Driver’s License without restrictions
  • Proof of or willingness to obtain NDIS Workers Screening, a recent National Police Check (within 3 months), and a current flu vaccination
