About the role

We have a new opportunity for a qualified and experienced Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team in Katherine, NT.

This role is available on a permanent, full-time basis, working 38 hours per week.

This role attracts an hourly rate of $35.01 - $36.55 / hour gross base (dependent on skills and experience). Your role as a Personal Care Worker will involve visiting clients' homes to provide care and support, including cleaning, bed making, personal care (such as grooming, showering, mobility), and assistance with meals.

You may also be required to assist with social support, including taking clients to appointments and shopping.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience in Aged or Disability care.
• Comfortable travelling to clients' homes with a fully insured and reliable vehicle.
• Caring and understanding approach, with the ability to interpret care plans and funding requirements.
• Enjoy travelling and providing services with a customer service focus and respect.

Skills & experience

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, or related field.
• Willingness to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate.
• Experience in daily living assistance preferred but not essential.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse team.
• Manual handling skills.
• Personal registered and insured vehicle.

Mandatory compliance

• National Police Check.
• Current Influenza Vaccination.
• NDIS Workers Screening check.
