Personal Care Assistant (Senior patient) - Powder Springs (Weekly Pay)

We are based in Lithonia, Georgia and our services are available in the areas of Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Jackson, and Rockdale County.

In Gail's Homecare, we value our employees the same way we value our clients! We are currently seeking a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our growing home health care team.

In this role, you will work with our clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing.

Salary: $13 per hour

Shift: 4h shift, flexible hours

Qualifications:

1. CPR / BLS First Aid (Required)
2. High School Diploma or GED required
3. At least one year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting is required; three to five years is strongly preferred
4. Significant experience working in a home health care environment is strongly preferred
5. Mastery of the English language, written & verbal
6. Attendance of eight hours of personal care-oriented services per year
7. Participation in professional meetings when directed
8. Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
9. Experience in domestic work or housekeeping is a plus
10. Able to lift heavy objects, help move clients, and perform physical tasks
11. Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
12. Willingness to conduct domestic and personal tasks requested by the client
13. Prompt and reliable
14. Warm and caring personality
15. Commitment to treating clients with dignity and respect
16. Willingness to comply with all legal and institutional requirements and guidelines

Requirements:

1. Driver's License / State-issued ID
2. PCA Certification
3. Current CPR Card
4. TB Results
5. Social Security Card
6. Must have existing fingerprinting background check
