Requirements :
  • Matric.
  • Always wear black clothing similar to the rest of the staff (own clothing, not a specific uniform).
  • Full make-up and manicured nails are essential.
  • Well-groomed appearance at all times; this is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities :
General :
  • Manage the front-of-shop area.
  • Greet clients at the door and offer refreshments.
  • Ensure garments on rails are properly hung and facing uniformly, according to seasonal preferences.
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and welcoming office environment before client visits.
  • Assist the tea girl with making tea or coffee when needed.
Office :
  • Check and respond to emails.
  • Make online payments for fabric imports.
  • Type invoices for garments sold using Sage One.
  • Weekly, collect clocking data from the Eco Time machine and submit it to the accountants for payroll.
  • Monthly, calculate expenses on an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Run errands such as dry cleaning and purchasing fabric or haberdashery.
  • Maintain a memory book and hold daily meetings with the owner to plan daily tasks.
  • Prioritize urgent matters.
Work hours, leave, and other info :
  • 08:00 to 16:45, Monday to Friday.
  • 15-minute morning tea break.
  • 30-minute lunch break.
  • No weekend work.
Salary :
  • R15,000 basic salary.
  • Annual leave: 15 days (5 in winter, 10 over Christmas, plus public holidays).
  • Performance bonus in December at owner’s discretion.
