Job description

The main purpose of this position is to perform administrative support and assistance to five Senior Managers within the company.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  1. Manage and maintain the Senior Managers’ diaries, including logistical arrangements for appointments and travel in liaison with relevant personnel.
  2. Receive, screen, and respond to incoming telephone calls using own initiative and, where appropriate, deal with queries and/or route calls to appropriate people.
  3. Prepare and edit correspondence, communication, presentations, and other documents, and conduct basic research and analysis where necessary for this purpose.
  4. Collate and coordinate project-based and other information on behalf of the Senior Managers.
  5. Review operating practices in own area and implement improvements where necessary.
  6. Maintain positive internal and external relationships on behalf of the Senior Managers by engaging with members and stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  7. Create and maintain a contact database for the Senior Managers' office as well as a filing system in accordance with the File Plan of the SARB.
  8. Perform day-to-day duties in an ethical manner that involves maintaining absolute confidentiality in all matters related to the Managers’ office.
  9. Execute any other tasks as instructed by the Senior Managers as and when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A Grade 12 and a Secretarial Diploma; and
  • A minimum of six to eight years’ experience in a corporate personal assistant or equivalent role.
