Job Summary

The individual is expected to work with a senior manager or director to provide secretarial and administrative support. They act as the first point of contact during the manager's absence. The individual must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and interact with stakeholders at various levels to deliver work output.

Job Description

Business Enablement through support to the Tax Leadership team:

  • Manage diaries and meetings, including room bookings, catering, and IT setup.
  • Assist with collating agendas and preparing PowerPoint presentations for meetings.
  • Organize team events, including scheduling, invitations, venues, and catering.
  • Handle travel arrangements and expense claims.
  • Maintain filing and archiving systems per records management policies.
  • Assist with requests for IT equipment, software, and building access.
  • Prepare operational arrangements for new joiners.
  • Support team initiatives like CSI, training, birthdays, and team-building events.
  • Order equipment, stationery, flowers, etc.
  • Perform record keeping and reporting as needed.
  • Support projects such as process mapping and update key strategy documents.
  • Assist with team communications.

Operational Support:

  • Provide administrative and operational support following standard procedures.
  • Support team performance and ensure compliance with control and quality standards.
  • Handle customer requests, offer solutions, and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain financial records and address stakeholder queries efficiently.

Role/Person Specification

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in a related field (NQF Level 5/6)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • 3–5 years relevant experience in Financial Services

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Good business knowledge and basic accounting skills
  • Understanding of financial reporting and controls
  • Ability to analyze financial data
