Job Description

To provide expert professional knowledge and technical skills within a specialist area, executing the bank's information security initiatives to enable management to make informed decisions and monitor the protection of sensitive data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Adhere to and implement relevant technology standards developed by the wider IT function.
2. Utilise technology requirements to optimize work outputs.
3. Review system operations continually, updating processes and products to mitigate risks and minimize incidents.
4. Prototype and pilot new information security solutions to assess their viability.
5. Engage with and influence working groups and business areas to understand client processes, designing and supporting integrated security solutions.
6. Identify appropriate controls by considering attack scenarios, working with architects and engineers.
7. Design and operate proactive monitoring activities to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of services, minimizing security incidents.
8. Participate in post-incident analysis, identify control weaknesses, and support remediation efforts.
9. Automate repeatable tasks to enhance operational effectiveness.
10. Develop detailed security designs that integrate multiple systems within strict deadlines and complex requirements.

Qualifications

Final year undergraduate, Honours, or Masters Degree (completed or expected to complete in 2025) in:
