Job Description

The successful candidate will facilitate the success of the test effort by driving quality and test advocacy, resource planning, management, and issue resolution. Acting as a trusted advisor and specialist resource, you will provide leadership in all quality engineering activities, including offering guidance on improving quality, approach, and strategy.

1. Coordinate all reporting requirements, including test status, defect monitoring and resolution, risks, and metrics definition, to ensure clear communication and documentation of quality engineering activities.
2. Deliver a consolidated approach to quality engineering and contribute to compliance with relevant standards.
3. Align automation initiatives with the system team to ensure standardization according to team objectives and strategies.
4. Lead the overall quality engineering approach in consultation with IT partners, responding to changes as needed.
5. Achieve velocity targets for each iteration or sprint, document risks, and escalate issues to clarify delivery expectations.
6. Align quality engineering practices with strategic build initiatives like Agile, CI, and TDD to employ modern engineering practices.
7. Participate actively in demos and pilots with the business team to understand priorities and inform risk management.
8. Ensure test approaches align with IT standards and strategic objectives to minimize risks and ensure progress towards test strategies.
9. Ensure availability of necessary tools and environments for seamless testing activities.
10. Track and coordinate quality engineering activities, communicating risks to the delivery team.
11. Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve issues and remove blocks to testing.
12. Lead and champion quality initiatives organization-wide, acting as a change agent and influencing organizational change.
13. Lead, motivate, and develop the quality engineering team to achieve continuous improvement targets.
14. Ensure delivery of comprehensive test summary reports that cover necessary inputs and risks.

Qualifications

Final year undergraduate, Honours, or Masters Degree (Completed or currently completing in 2025) in one of the following fields:

• Computer Science
• Electronic Engineering
• Informatics, Information Systems
• Information Technology
• Software Development
• Software Engineering
