Job summary

adidas in Johannesburg is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to deliver exceptional service and support store operations. You will handle sales transactions, assist with stock flow, and help develop engaging displays while maintaining store policies.

Training on Atticus/AREA and Power BI insights will enhance product knowledge and performance understanding. The role requires adaptability, a proactive attitude, and comfort working evenings and weekends in a fast-paced fashion retail

Responsibilities

• Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• Completes regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Involved indirectly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.
• Assists in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on a fill-in basis.
• Assists in the development of displays of merchandise or follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system by acquiring system utilization skills and maintain policy integrity.
• Uses selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
• Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product; may serve as Greeter at the front door during busy days.
• Maintaining general housekeeping standards (including cleaning of the store).
• Safekeeping of Company assets.
• Loss prevention, monitoring sales floor and reporting any suspicious activity and following security procedures/ SLAP.
• Take part in in-store training or digital training (Atticus/AREA) to ensure product knowledge and best practices.
• Familiarize themselves with Power BI tools to understand store performance, bestsellers and product performance.
