About the Role:

Are you a seasoned Linux and Oracle Solaris expert with a passion for automation and innovation? In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing and maintaining our critical Oracle Solaris and Linux infrastructure, spanning our company's cloud environments and international business units. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our core systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer and maintain our extensive Linux (RHEL & Oracle Linux) and Oracle Solaris environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
2. Manage and optimize our cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), driving innovation and efficiency.
3. Design and implement automation solutions using tools like Ansible and SaltStack, streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
4. Plan and implement new solutions based on business requirements, leveraging your strong networking and development knowledge.
5. Administer OVM for SPARC and OLVM for x86 infrastructure.
6. Work effectively within project timelines, contributing to the team's vision and achieving shared objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. 8+ years of hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL & Oracle Linux) and Oracle Solaris administration.
2. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container technologies.
3. A strong understanding of networking and development principles.
4. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach.
5. A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
6. Relevant certifications (LPI, RHCE, Oracle Linux, Oracle Solaris).
7. 1+ year of development experience is preferable.
8. Grade 12.
