A leading mining and processing business in the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) sector is seeking to appoint a Performance Reporting Manager. This strategic role will be responsible for driving high-quality internal and external performance reporting, providing commercial and operational insights, and ensuring effective business performance management across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of business performance results.
Engage at senior levels and manage cross-business issues/stakeholders.
Monitor and interpret external events impacting business performance (e.g., competitor and industry economics).
Develop and deliver meaningful budgets, forecasts, and scenarios integrated with core business processes.
Promote cost awareness and cost control across the organisation.
Implement an integrated business performance management framework with regular review and challenge.
Identify and communicate key business risks, opportunities, and performance issues.
Foster a purpose-driven, high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with company values.
Ensure team members have the skills, resources, and authority to meet objectives.
Implement departmental compliance governance processes.
Requirements
BCom Accounting or relevant finance degree/qualification
CA(SA) or CIMA (advantageous)
Proven senior commercial/financial analysis and management experience in a large mining/resources company
Strong track record in financial/business data analysis and benchmarking in a mining/heavy industry environment
Knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to the role
Experience with project management fundamentals
Understanding of commercial/business drivers, business performance variability, and root-cause analysis
Experience in investment valuation and interpretation of findings
Risk management expertise and application of critical controls
Proven ability to manage large and complex projects, embedding changes into business processes
