Responsibilities
  1. Provide feedback on daily routine inspection of machines and equipment.
  2. Overhauling units in the workshop after being given instruction by the maintenance Supervisor.
  3. Perform scheduled and allocated maintenance services and provide feedback to the Supervisor.
  4. Adhere to the ‘T’ card system and ensure that it is kept up to date and works efficiently.
  5. Inform the Supervisor of the consumables that require ordering and repairing.
  6. In ‘downtimes’ use the time productively to implement best practices/training.
  7. Review drawings and blueprints to establish which materials, methods and settings are required for particular parts and processes.
  8. Fit parts into machinery and equipment using tools to cut, file, plane, bore and drill metal.
  9. Diagnose problems on the machines and report issues to the supervisor.
  10. Replace damaged or defective structural components as required.
  11. Ensure adherence to safety protocols when working with machinery and tools.
  12. Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to supervisors.
  13. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  14. Carry out other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications
