Job description

THE PEOPLE PARTNER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

  • Provide a proactive business partnering service to the agreed business area, ensuring the delivery of people initiatives and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Offer professional support and advice to Business Heads and SSP managers on employee relations activities such as: Absence Management, Performance Improvement Plans, Maternity matters, Policy issues, Leaver Management, Pay reviews, People policies, Training, HR Interviews, Performance management facilitation, Employment Law, and Organisational Design.
  • Keep the Senior People Partner updated on operational issues through regular meetings and escalate when necessary.
  • Consult with Business Heads and managers regarding transfers, promotions, and salary reviews, ensuring all processes are followed.
  • Identify key issues, trends, and changes internally and externally (legislation, marketplace, industry) affecting policies and employee benefits.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Lead people plan meetings with Business Heads and monitor employee data to identify trends and solutions.
  • Assist in delivering employee engagement initiatives and ensure managers develop effective action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development Partner on development solutions.
  • Support the central People team on specific projects.
  • Understand functional strategy and business performance, and implications for People services.
  • Ensure People Plans are implemented, updated, and address issues effectively.
  • Maintain legal compliance of people policies.
  • Promote a high-performance culture through data analysis and setting effective objectives aligned with business plans.
  • Coach and support managers to achieve high performance.
  • Drive engagement plans to increase awareness and capability in people policies and processes.
  • Embed the Skills and Knowledge Framework within business areas and ensure pay and benefits frameworks are adhered to.
  • Deliver organizational design activities with transparent processes.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Facilitate training on relevant topics for managers.
  • Deliver content aligned with HR strategy to managers.
  • Plan and execute People projects in line with the People Strategy.

ACCOUNTABILITY :

  • Maintain positive relationships with Business Heads and managers through regular interactions.
  • Influence managers to foster a performance-driven culture.
  • Ensure implementation of action items from the People Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with HR practices and laws within the region, including overseas.
  • Execute central People Projects effectively within the business.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance the employee journey.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience in a commercially focused People Partner / HRBP role.
  • Proven experience in handling employee relations to conclusion.
  • Involvement in HR activities such as Performance, Engagement, and Organizational Design.
  • Strong communication skills; capable of coaching managers.
  • Relevant HR qualification preferred.
  • Ability to operate in structured and ambiguous situations.
  • Proficient in Excel and analytical tools.
