This is a pivotal full-time management role that sits within a prestigious education and leadership environment, focused on developing people, driving compliance, and enhancing organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Learning & Development
Partner with departmental heads to design competency frameworks.
Build tailored learning pathways and manage a vibrant internal Training Hub.
Oversee training delivery (online, blended, in-person), tracking impact and ROI.
Onboarding & Performance Enablement
Drive structured onboarding processes and probation management.
Support meaningful performance appraisals and career development discussions.
Employee Engagement & Wellness
Roll out wellness programmes focused on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Foster a psychologically safe, inclusive, and engaging culture.
Serve as a confidential and trusted point of contact for employee concerns.
Statutory Compliance & Reporting
Manage submissions for WSP, ATR (Services SETA), and Employment Equity (EEA2 / EEA4).
Administer compliance-related HRIS data and track training spend.
Oversee BBBEE HR elements, including Skills Development and Management Control.
Youth Employment & Transformation
Coordinate learnerships, internships, and YES programmes in line with BBBEE scorecard targets.
Minimum Requirements :
Postgraduate degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or related field (preferred).
5–8 years of progressive HR experience focused on learning & development, compliance, and employee engagement.
Certified Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).
Proven experience with :
WSP and ATR submissions via the Services SETA.
EE reporting on the Department of Labour portal.
Competency-based training coordination.
Employment equity, BBBEE and HR statutory compliance.
Performance management, onboarding, and wellness programme implementation.
Skills & Attributes :
People Management technical expertise across learning, performance, compliance, and reporting.
Skilled in Excel, HRIS systems, data analysis, and budget management.
Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
High emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and a passion for people development.
Ability to juggle multiple HR initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
