Westfalia Fruit Estate, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced to be based in Midrand & Kempton Park: People & Culture Business Partner

Purpose of the role:

The P&C Business Partner: Inland & Coastal provides strategic and operational human resources support to the Inland and Coastal regions. The role is responsible for implementing HR programmes, managing employee relations, supporting recruitment, facilitating organisational development, and ensuring compliance with labour legislation. The incumbent serves as a liaison between the People & Culture department and operations, supporting business objectives through HR excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Organisational Development

  • Maintain up-to-date organograms and job descriptions.
  • Prepare documentation for job evaluation and facilitate employment equity initiatives.
  • Support succession planning, training needs analysis, and leadership development.

Employee Relations

  • Partner with operations to address employee relations matters.
  • Assist in grievance handling, disciplinary investigations, and hearings.
  • Provide advisory support on day-to-day IR challenges.
  • Facilitate and chair workers committee meetings.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Facilitate onboarding and induction of new employees.
  • Conduct probationary interviews and exit interviews.
  • Support performance management and the implementation of individual development plans (IDPs).

Recruitment

  • Collaborate with the Talent team to manage end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Support hiring managers with workforce planning and job profiling.

People & Culture Administration

  • Maintain and improve centralized personnel record systems.
  • Manage HR data reporting and support internal HR projects.
  • Ensure payroll inputs is accurate and submitted timeously.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics as needed.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives related to company culture, engagement, and retention.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as drafting policies, updating employee handbooks, and scheduling training sessions.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.

Education:

  • Minimum 3-year post-matric qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate degree will be advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources Business Partner or HR Management role.
  • Proven experience in labour relations and managing disputes.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
