Job summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, organizational development, and change management. As a Manager in People Consulting, you will lead a team of consultants to deliver innovative solutions that enhance organizational performance, drive employee engagement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and develop tailored strategies aligned with their business objectives.

Key responsibilities include project management, client relationship management, and providing thought leadership in talent management, leadership development, and workforce planning.

Duties and responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
  • Collaborate with global and local clients to understand their business strategies and identify people-related challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Shape and deliver business strategies that depend on human capital.
  • Provide expert advice on the Human Capital value chain, including Total Reward, Organisation Design, Change Management, Talent Management, HR Technology, Learning and Development, and Transactions.
Project Management:
  • Lead and manage multiple engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
Thought Leadership:
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in human capital management.
  • Contribute to EY's thought leadership by publishing articles, whitepapers, and presenting at conferences.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations to win new engagements.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all consulting activities comply with EY policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with human capital projects.

You will be a key resource on business transformation projects. In this role, you should be able to deliver quality client service, analyze complex problems, and deliver insightful solutions while managing resources to achieve project objectives. You should also possess advanced written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, initiative, and the ability to quickly integrate into new teams and establish relationships internally and externally.

  • Technical competence in core Human Capital capabilities with a practical, business-driven approach to solving complex client challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with key technical, functional skills, and industry trends.
  • Ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to support major change initiatives or decisions.
  • Remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Be proactive and take initiative.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, embracing uncertainty, and adapting swiftly to change.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Tertiary Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree; previous consulting experience and/or experience in large-scale projects.
  • At least 7 to 10 years of experience in core competency areas across the Human Capital value chain (Organisation Design, Total Reward, Change Management, Talent Management, HR Technology, Learning, and Transactions).
  • Manager experience: 10 years.
  • Senior Manager experience: 15+ years.
  • Associate Manager experience: 3-5 years.
