The Position reports to the Takealot Group Executive Head: People & Transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and manage the implementation of all HR policies and procedures.
  • Partner, coach, and support all line managers and employees on the full range of HR functions and services, including:
    • Performance management.
    • Recruitment and selection.
    • Job evaluation.
    • On-boarding
    • Remuneration and benefits.
    • Learning and development
    • Employee wellness.
    • Organisational design.
    • Employee relations.
  • Ensure effective data management and reporting to all stakeholders of all HR information.
  • Facilitate and promote employee engagement and feedback.
  • Manage daily payroll and HR related inquiries by employees including shift, overtime, etc.
  • Facilitate the development of individual training plans, execution of training, and where required, facilitate training.
  • Partner with the business with all organisational design initiatives for the business.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HR legislation within the business environment.
  • Undertake all strategic HR projects, aligned to HR strategy and business objectives.
  • Facilitate HR activities to enhance employee engagement and experiences.
Minimum Qualification & Experience required
  • A minimum of a Bachelor Degree HR Management or BCom HR Management or BCom Industrial Psychology or related field.
  • 5-7 years HR experience with a minimum of 5 years solid experience in a Generalist Capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and policies that govern the defined duties.
  • Proven experience in Industrial Relations including the CCMA.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Experience in Learning and Development is advantageous.

  • Good working and theoretical knowledge of current legislation and HR policies.

  • High level of accuracy and analytical thinking.
  • Proven PC literacy (Google Suite preferable) and exposure to HR information systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact with people on all levels within the organisation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues
  • Up to date with current AI technology, trends and best practices in HR practices.
