Job description

Mukuru is looking for a dynamic People Acquisition Partner to join our team in Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Role Overview The People Acquisition Partner plays a key role in attracting top talent for Mukuru.

This role is responsible for end-to-end recruitment across multiple disciplines, locations, and levels, ensuring an efficient and objective hiring process in line with company policies and best practices.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic talent acquisition support, coach hiring managers, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) plans.

Additionally, the role involves preparing talent dashboards, validating data, and analyzing recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities : Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.Ensure compliance with labor legislation, company policies, and DEI objectives.Utilize various sourcing methods (networking, direct sourcing, referrals) to attract top talent.Maintain accurate recruitment records, track key metrics, and analyze hiring trends.Negotiate offers and facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires.Stakeholder Engagement & Coaching Advise and coach hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, and compliance.Provide continuous support and feedback to ensure an effective selection processmunicate recruitment updates, metrics, and insights to the Head of People Acquisition and relevant stakeholders.Process Improvement & Talent Analytics Continuously evaluate and enhance recruitment processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience.Prepare and maintain talent dashboards to track recruitment KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality).Leverage data insights to refine hiring strategies and decision-making.Stay informed on industry trends, emerging recruitment technologies, and best practices.Supervision & Team Development Mentor and guide intern recruiters, providing training and constructive feedback to enhance their skills.Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth initiatives.Market Research & Talent Mapping Conduct research on industry trends, competitor hiring activities, and talent availability.Develop and maintain talent pools and pipelines for critical roles.Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic hiring decisions.Collaboration & Additional Responsibilities Work closely with HR and hiring managers to align recruitment efforts with business goals.Ensure structured interview guides and assessment methods are consistently applied.Participate in HR initiatives, including job evaluation, restructuring, and employee engagement activities.Support employee wellness initiatives and personal professional development.Key Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)Degree in Human Resources or related field (Essential)4+ years of recruitment experience, including Tech, BI, and Product hiring (Essential)Strong knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment best practices, and structured interviewing techniquesExperience in designing creative sourcing and candidate pipeline strategiesProficiency in recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Excel / BI toolsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong analytical skills with experience in talent dashboards and recruitment metricsAdditional Skills Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAdvanced facilitation and interviewing skillsExcellent planning, organizing, and reporting capabilitiesShould you be appointed in a remote / work from home role at Mukuru, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have uninterrupted internet connectivity and a 'work-like' environment at your home location, in order to deliver your best in terms of performance, productivity and service to our customers.
