Job description

Pentravel, a division of Cullinan Holdings, a leading leisure, travel & tourism company, is seeking a dynamic sales focused and performance driven Travel Consultant to join their E-commerce team in their offices in Bellville, Cape Town. As a Pentravel Travel Consultant, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service and expert advice to travelers, creating bespoke travel itineraries, and booking all components of their trips. You'll also be responsible for achieving sales targets and contributing to the overall profitability of the business. If you have a passion for travel, excellent communication skills, are highly target driven and motivated and work well under pressure, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals
  • Design and sell customized travel itineraries to meet individual travel preferences, budgets, and needs
  • Provide expert advice on travel destinations, including visas and travel insurance
  • Consistently convert leads and reach and exceed sales targets by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting the company's preferred partners
  • Maintain accurate records and client details, using the company's operational systems
  • Manage customer complaints and queries in an efficient and professional manner
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a sales and target driven role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (in email and Live Chat) and verbal (telephone)
  • Strong sales experience is non-negotiable, and customer service skills and added advantage
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of reservation systems, such as Amadeus is advantageous
  • Have a Passion for travel and a strong knowledge of popular travel destinations
  • As this is retail travel, the ability to work weekends and public holidays (on a roster basis) is needed
