Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience in performing penetration tests and security assessments.
• Proficiency with common penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Strong understanding of web application security, network protocols, and OS vulnerabilities.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests on networks, web and mobile applications, and cloud environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and identify security flaws using manual and automated tools.

Our client is seeking a skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their cybersecurity team in Richards Bay . In this role, you will proactively identify vulnerabilities in the organization's networks, applications, and systems through simulated cyber attacks. Your primary objective is to uncover security weaknesses before malicious actors can exploit them, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations for remediation. This position requires a deep technical understanding of attack vectors, exploitation techniques, and security controls. You will be instrumental in enhancing the overall security posture of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on networks, web applications, mobile applications, and cloud environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and identify security flaws using a variety of manual and automated tools.
• Document findings in detailed, professional reports, including methodologies, discovered vulnerabilities, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and IT operations teams to advise on security improvements and validate fixes.

• Develop custom scripts or tools to aid in the penetration testing process when necessary.
