Job description

Duration: Immediate until 28th of February 2025

Reporting to: Out of School Manager

Organisational Background

Centre for Community Impact (CCI) is a non-profit South African organisation based in Pretoria. We aim to be a center of excellence in strategic health and development communication programs that are centered around meaningful Community Engagement.

Position Summary

Effective demand creation, enrolment, and facilitate the provision of Core services in all Out of School target beneficiaries within the Adolescent and Young People (AYP) Program that is implemented by CCI. Facilitation and Co-facilitation of all peer education, dialogues, and recreational layered services in the safe spaces and community.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Create demand for the program interventions through door-to-door visits, distribution of information, Education and Communication (IEC) material, and presentations at pop-up events and community gatherings.
  2. Enroll eligible and interested AYPs into the program.
  3. Conduct the risk assessment, offer HIV tests, provide information, offer condoms and lubricants, develop a service plan, and refer beneficiaries for required services.
  4. Facilitate and Co-facilitate all peer education, dialogues, and recreational layered services in the safe spaces and communities.
  5. Be flexible to work on weekends.
  6. Owner of a valid Driver’s License with excellent driving capability.
  7. Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Matric (Grade 12).
  2. Facilitation Skills Training.

  • Good communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate in MS office package and ability to utilise a biometric device.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team.

  • Ability to engage with Adolescents and Youth in a friendly professional manner.
