Job summary

Old School Ties in Cape Town invites applications for a Physical Education teacher who can coach seasonal sports and contribute to the broader school programme. The role requires an appropriate FET teaching qualification, SACE registration, and the ability to lead and participate in after-hours practices and tours.

You'll work with a team of staff to develop leaner sport programmes, ensure high standards of organisation and communication, and foster learner development.

Qualifications

• Appropriate FET teaching qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE), preferably with Physical Education as one of the majors.
• SACE registration (or proof of application).
• Experience coaching both a summer & a winter sport offered by the school.
• Ability to teach Physical Education and contribute to the broader school programme.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work after hours & weekends for practices, fixtures & tours.
• Energetic, reliable team player with a passion for school sport and learner development.
• Fulfilled any leadership positions for example: Discipline Portfolios.
• SACE registration is required; shortlisted candidates must present a valid Police Clearance Certificate.
