Advtech in Gauteng seeks a Physical Education Teacher to deliver engaging PE lessons for Grades 8 to 12, develop sporting programmes, and coach diverse disciplines. The role reports to the Principal and requires a recognised degree or teaching qualification with PE.

You will organize interschool events, manage equipment budgets, liaise with parents and learners, and contribute to a vibrant school sports culture. First aid certification and willingness to travel with teams are preferred.

Formación

• Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed.
• SACE registration would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee sports programme management.
• Coordinate sports events and fixtures.
• Coach in various sporting disciplines.
• Liaise with parents, students, and campus visitors.
• Budget and manage sports equipment.
• Manage sports coaches.
• Teach Physical Education for Grades 8–12.
• Organise official league matches and inter-house/internal events.

Required: Must be able to teach Physical Education.

Reporting to the Principal.

Duties

• Controlling Sports Programme
• Controlling Sports Events
• Coaching in various Sporting Disciplines.
• Liaising with parents, students, and visitors to the campus.
• Sports Equipment - budgeting and management.
• Sports Coaches - Management.
• Physical Education Teacher - Grade 8 to 12.
• Organisation of sporting events - Official League Matches and Interhouse and Internal Events.

Competencies / Skills / Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, student and parents.
• Energetic, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Must be a team player.
• First Aid Training would be required.
• Willingness to accompany teams to sporting fixtures.
• Skilled in Coaching and Refereeing/Umpiring.

Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a recognised Degree and/or a diploma in Sports' Management or Teaching Qualification with Physical Education as a subject completed.

SACE registration would be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in the same and/or similar type of position and environment.
• Ability to coach sports is essential
• Experience in the organisation of sporting events
