Duties & Responsibilities

The Electronics Assembler / PCB Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling, soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to production standards and specifications. This includes both through-hole and surface mount component soldering, using hand tools and soldering equipment in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Hand soldering of through-hole and surface mount components.
  • Assembly of PCB units, including wiring, connectors, and mechanical hardware.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
  • Follow ESD-safe handling and workplace safety procedures.
  • Report defects or issues in assembly to the supervisor.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • IPC-A-610 certification (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PCB soldering and assembly.
  • Ability to read PCB layouts
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Assembly drawings.
  • PCB layouts
  • Soldering techniques (including lead-free soldering).
  • ESD safety and electronic component handling.
  • IPC standards for electronic assembly.
