Job description

Urgent role : Payroll Administrator required!

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator with strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and compliance to join our client's team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Local citizens
  • Diploma in Payroll Administration or similar discipline
  • 3–5 years' experience in a payroll administration role
  • Proven track record in handling payroll for an organisation
  • Proficiency in payroll software (VIP Sage 300 People essential)
  • Syspro knowledge is advantageous
  • Related payroll training and development

Key Responsibilities :

  • Full payroll processing (weekly & monthly) using VIP Sage 300 People
  • Capture new employees, process terminations, leave, claims, promotions, and transfers
  • Ensure payroll data accuracy and perform necessary adjustments
  • Administer and maintain the Coin clock card system
  • Capture shifts for Leave Enhancement Pay calculations
  • Maintain data integrity and compliance with labour laws , tax regulations , and bargaining council agreements
  • Manage UIF applications, submissions , and related processes
  • Liaise with SARS, Workman’s Compensation, UIF for registrations, payments, and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and supporting documentation
  • Administer pension / provident fund withdrawals and related paperwork
  • Ensure all payroll expenses and liabilities are accurately allocated to relevant accounts
