Job description

We are recruiting for Self Employed - Food Safety Assessors in the following countries: [List countries]. For these positions, you will need to be located in the countries listed above, as travel is generally inclusive in the audit cost for Retail & Hospitality work.

This role operates as a "Self-Employed Contractor" and we are looking for Food Safety Assessors. You will be responsible for delivering non-accredited Health & Safety audits as requested by the UK team for an exciting new global contract gained by LRQA.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing your monthly availability for the proposed work.
  2. Planning and managing the work within the timescales agreed with the client.
  3. Conducting health & safety audits in accordance with legal and client-driven requirements, aligned with specific country codes.
  4. Completing audit reports immediately after the audit and submitting them on the same day.
  5. Ensuring any errors on reports are corrected and updated promptly upon request.
  6. Keeping your Line Manager or Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
  7. Allowing Shadow and Witness Audits from the client, line manager, or senior team as required.
  8. Maintaining Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and undertaking additional training when onboarding new clients.
  9. Maintaining a high level of IT skills in line with the equipment and software used, and providing your own laptop or tablet.
  10. Having audit experience in Food Safety.
  11. This is NOT an employed position but a "Self-Employed Contractor" role, with work available immediately.
