Hire Resolve's client is seeking to hire a Payroll Manager based in Germiston.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full payroll function for both weekly and monthly cycles, including processing of overtime, standby, commissions, salary adjustments, allowances, garnishees, deductions, and personal detail changes.
- Ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and manual payments when required.
- Administer manual leave capturing for designated departments; monitor forfeiture and annual leave increments.
- Coordinate employee benefits such as medical aid, pension, and provident fund contributions.
- Validate payroll inputs against supporting documentation and net pay variance reports.
- Manage the complete pay run process in collaboration with the finance team, ensuring alignment with payment schedules.
- Distribute and publish payslips.
- Maintain efficient payroll system setup, including user access and ongoing system maintenance.
- Compile and submit monthly and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Prepare and process statutory and third-party payments; ensure timely submission to finance and communicate cash flow requirements.
- Provide General Ledger reports to finance monthly.
- Conduct regular data backups and perform monthly rollovers.
- Generate dummy payslips and handle payroll-related queries.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover of payroll inputs for personnel file archiving.
- Administer membership changes, new applications, and terminations for employee benefits.
- Engage directly with brokers, benefit administrators, and service providers.
- Reconcile monthly benefit statements against invoices and report discrepancies.
- Prepare and process annual tax documentation including IRP5s and implement tax table updates.

Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in payroll, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Relevant SAGE VIP certification.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive data.
