A leading payroll solutions provider in Pretoria seeks a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll function for 1500 employees. The ideal candidate must have 8 years of experience in payroll management, expertise in Sage300, and a Professional Payroll certification. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 8 years' experience managing a full end to end payroll for 1500 employees.
  • 3 years' experience managing a payroll team of 3.
  • Experience dealing with 3rd party vendors beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding, offboarding, and transferring employees.
  • Conducting payroll analysis weekly and monthly.
  • Reconciling 3rd party schedules monthly.

  • Matric
  • Sage300 certification is a non-negotiable
  • Professional Payroll certification or a member of a Payroll Association advantageous
  • Business Degree desirable
Years’ Experience
  • 8 years’ experience managing a full end to end payroll with a headcount of 1500 (weekly and monthly)
  • 3 years’ experience managing a payroll team of 3 (2 administrators and 1 supervisor)
  • 5 years’ experience dealing with 3rd party vendors such as FHIRST, Pension Fund, Medical Aid, Home Loans, SARs, etc
  • 3 years’ experience working on Sage300 People
  • 3 years’ experience using Easyfile
  • Experience within the motor industry advantageous
Main Purpose of the Position

This position is responsible for leading the full Payroll function in a highly fast paced environment for a headcount of 1500 employees. The position requires an individual to work well under pressure in an industrialized setting. The position requires the individual to communicate clearly and adhere to strict deadlines.

Top 5-10 Main Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Onboarding, offboarding and transferring employees and ensuring correct remuneration allocation as per client’s policies
  • Conducting payroll various analysis (weekly and monthly payrolls)
  • Reconciling 3rd party schedules monthly and executing payment timeously
  • Monthly EMP201 reconciliation to ensure compliance timeously
  • Mid and Tax year end reconciliation
  • Assist employee walk ins with any queries in a professional and timeous manager
