Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Payspace Super User to lead the full payroll function in a high-volume environment. You will manage input through final processing, ensure accuracy and compliance, and support a busy payroll team.

You will oversee monthly payroll, reconciliations, journals and reporting, handle employee changes, benefits, and statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL). Strong Excel and stakeholder management are essential; you’ll streamline processes and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary or payroll qualification.
• Managerial payroll experience within a high-volume environment.
• Payspace Super User essential.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Full payroll cycle experience.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, journals and reporting.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet non-negotiable payroll deadlines.
• Hands-on, organised and solutions-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full payroll function from input through to final processing.
• Oversee monthly payroll, reconciliations, journals and reporting.
• Manage employee changes, leave, overtime, deductions and benefits.
• Ensure accurate PAYE, UIF, SDL and other statutory submissions.
• Maintain payroll controls and ensure legislative compliance.
• Review payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage payroll queries and provide support to employees and stakeholders.
• Prepare payroll reports and provide insights to Finance and management.
• Support internal and external payroll audits.
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records. Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve payroll processes.
• Lead, manage and develop the payroll team.
