Job summary

A South African HR company is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage payroll systems, onboarding processes, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate has HR and payroll experience, excellent communication skills, and is able to work independently and with a team. Matric and HR certifications are required.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Medically fit.
  • No criminal record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Payroll System and final pay processing.
  • Onboarding and exiting of employees.
  • Compile monthly management reports.
  • Compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist with HR-related projects.

Experience & Role Requirements
  • Experience with UIF, Payroll, Labour Law, etc.
  • Compile monthly management reports as required.
  • Implement performance management / talent management initiatives to ensure enhanced knowledge & skills sharing / transfer.
  • Manage the Payroll System and be responsible for forwarding final Pay.
  • Onboarding & exiting of employees.
  • End to end payroll processing, oversight and administration on payroll system which includes new engagements, terminations, staff movements and monthly payroll input.
  • Systems administration and maintenance.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures and ensure good governance is adhered to. Contribute to the executive team by evaluating business results.
  • Undertake / assist with the planning and delivery of HR-related projects.
  • Manage, advise on, and assist in day-to-day HR operational issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Able to work without supervision and supervise staff as and when required. Able to function within a team and deal with demanding co-workers. Available to travel for training purposes.
  • Able to work for long periods on own when management is away.
