Job summary

SKILLS CONNECTOR in South Africa seeks an HR and payroll administrator to manage client payrolls, statutory obligations, and payroll compliance within a professional services context.

You will also lead internal HR duties, draft contracts, maintain records, support recruitment and onboarding, and ensure adherence to labour legislation across operations.

Qualifications

• A qualification in HR Management or Labour Relations or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant HR and payroll administration experience.
• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation, payroll administration, PAYE, UIF, and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage clients’ payroll using PaySpace.
• Administer employee tax obligations, including EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations and IRP5 certificates.
• Manage UIF and other statutory registrations, amendments and obligations.
• Handle COIDA and Compensation Fund matters for clients.
• Provide payroll advice and support to clients.
• Manage the complete HR function for internal staff.
• Draft employment contracts and administer and maintain employee records.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding and termination processes.
• Support management with staff-related matters.
• Handle disciplinary processes, grievances and other labour-relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation.
• Promote positive employee relations and staff wellbeing.

WE REQUIRE:

• A qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or a related field.


• At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR and payroll administration.


• Good knowledge of South African labour legislation, payroll administration, PAYE, UIF, other employee tax requirements and COIDA/Compensation Fund matters.
