A leading company in the energy sector is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll processing and manage benefit programs. This role requires a strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and payroll systems, alongside experience in payroll administration. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining compliance with payroll deadlines and assisting employees with their payroll and benefits queries in a dynamic environment that values diversity.

ActivitiesAs a Payroll Coordinator, your responsibilities would include :
Supporting the processing of the monthly payroll and associated activitiesProcessing new hires and terminations on the systemProviding payroll information by responding to internal / external questions and requestsEnsuring efficient printing and distribution of payslips and managing payslip queriesProviding backup to the Payroll Supervisor when requiredServing as a point of contact for payroll-related issuesUpdating HR & payroll records including changesAssessing, capturing, and processing expense claims on the payroll systemCapturing monthly leave balances and troubleshooting related problemsReviewing payroll discrepancies, determining problem areas, and initiating adjustments or recommending actionsParticipating in payroll reconciliation processesConducting benefit orientations and trainings as requiredProcessing enrollments, changes, and terminations to benefit programsAssisting employees with payroll / benefits claims and queriesAdministering statutory deductions such as garnishee ordersMaintaining records as per company policy and legislationFiling activities for staff files and managing retrievalsSupporting updates to Ufiling with EMP and reconciling to paymentsAssisting with tax certificate preparations and filingsEnsuring compliance with payroll deadlinesProcessing disability and risk payoutsPerforming ad hoc tasks and projects as assignedCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate would possess :
A tertiary qualification in payroll administration or equivalent; BComm / BA in HR preferred1-2 years experience in payroll administrationExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environmentKnowledge of SAP TL HR modules (advantageous)Knowledge of banking electronic payment systemsBasic knowledge of employment laws affecting payrollHigh integrity, results-oriented, detail-focused, able to work under pressure, and a team playerEnglish language proficiencyAdditional InformationTotalEnergies values diversity, promotes individual growth, and offers equal opportunity careers.
