Job description

The ideal candidate must possess strong numerical, data capturing, and analytical skills to verify biometric records and ensure accurate salary payments. Attention to detail is crucial. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication, as well as excellent time management and organizational abilities, is essential. Ultimately, the candidate should be able to manage all aspects of the basic payroll function in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  1. Full Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll processes and procedures ensuring payroll to be accurate and correct.
  2. Biometric Data Management: Verify and manage biometric attendance records to ensure accuracy in working hours and payroll calculations (must also be strong in manual capturing and evaluation of timesheets).
  3. Leave Administration, UI-19 and Salary Schedules: Assist with said applications and calculations in line with company policy and the BCEA.
  4. Payroll Reporting: Generate and interpret payroll and biometric reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08H00 - 16H00

Salary: Basic of R8,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month (Dependent on Qualifications and Experience)

Education: Matric (Grade 12) is required; a Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Finance, or HR will be an advantage.

Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of payroll processing experience.

Software Proficiency: Sage 50c, Pastel Partner, Pastel Payroll & HR, Biometrics (training will be provided on the Biometric system to the successful candidate, but knowledge on Biometric systems use will be advantageous).

Excellent Proficiency: MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
