Job summary

Our client, a large diversified investment holding company operating through a shared services model, is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their People team in Stellenbosch. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end processing for selected monthly payrolls of 400+ employees across multiple entities, working closely with the Payroll & Benefits Officer as backup and quality check.

Beyond processing, you’ll dig into payroll and reward data, build reports and dashboards, and turn numbers into insights

Qualifications

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for monthly payrolls of 400+ employees across multiple entities.
• Build and interpret payroll/reward reporting and dashboards from payroll data.

Responsibilities

• Process assigned payrolls on Sage 300 People with accuracy and deadlines.
• Conduct reconciliations and resolve discrepancies at root cause.
• Build and interpret payroll/reward reporting and dashboards.
• Support bonus, benchmarking and share vesting cycles with data prep.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing for system changes.
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL and COID requirements.

You’ll take ownership of end-to-end processing for selected monthly payrolls of 400+ -employee and multiple entities, working closely with the Payroll & Benefits Officer as each other's backup and quality check. Beyond processing, you’ll dig into payroll and reward data, build reports and dashboards, and turn numbers into insights that actually influence decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process assigned payrolls on Sage 300 People with full accuracy and deadline compliance
• Conduct advanced reconciliations and resolve discrepancies at the root cause
• Build and interpret payroll/reward reporting and management dashboards
• Support increase, bonus, benchmarking and share vesting cycles with solid data prep
• Assist with UAT for system and platform changes
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, SDL and COID requirements
