A leading company in the beverage industry seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The successful candidate will utilize systems like SAP and Payspace to manage payroll operations effectively. With a strong background in payroll processing across Africa and the ability to thrive in a global environment, you will play a key role in payroll accuracy and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing in Africa.
  • Sound knowledge of Personal Income Tax and Social Security regulations.
  • Experience in a multi-country payroll environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely payment and accurate payroll transactions.
  • Monitor payroll KPIs and conduct regular audits.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports and manage payroll distribution.

Skills

Fluency in English
Proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of expat payroll

Job description

The Key Purpose of this role is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing and reporting by managing end-to-end payroll transactions, maintaining data integrity, and supporting business and statutory requirements through effective use of systems like SAP and Payspace.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

•Implement, maintain and process payroll to ensure timely payment and accurate payroll transactions including salaries, allowances, tax deductions, bonuses, and other deductions

•Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, status changes in SAP and Payspace

•Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

•Distribution of payroll reports (such as variance reports, payroll reconciliation reports tax reports e.t.c ) to relevant stakeholders for payroll sign off

•Meetingall day-to-daystatutoryand businesscompliance requirements

•Monitoringof payrollKPI’s

•Conductregularaudit ondata integrityto alignwith processesand policies

•Investigateand correctany errorsin thecase ofsystem orprocess issues

•Preparingmonthlypayrollsaccordingto schedule,preparingdocumentationto supportmonthlyapprovalby PayrollLead/Payroll controller, accurately and on time

•Managementof payrollreportingand weeklyEFT payments

Key Attributes & Competencies:

•Thrivesin aglobal environment,workingflexiblywhere required.

•Mustbe fluentin English.

•Proficiencyin usingMS Officetools (MSOutlook,Teams, Exceletc.).

•Experiencein HRsystemspreferablySAP andPayspace

•Extensiveknowledgeon expatpayroll

Minimum Requirements:

•5+ years of experience in payroll processing in Africa on a zone scale. Preferably experience on a multi-country payroll environment.

•Sound knowledge on Personal Income Tax, Wage Tax and Social Security regulations in the different countries of Africa Zone.

•Sound knowledge of payroll accounting, payroll compliances and audits.

•Fulltime bachelor’s degree (accounting/finance background is a plus)
