Job description

Our client in the logistics industry is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator (Temporary Role) based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements:
  • Diploma (1 to 3 years) / NQF Level 6.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with VIP Premier Payroll system is required.
  • NBCRFLI (Bargaining Council) experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Import clock-in times from the Time and Attendance System into Excel.
  • Apply complex formulas to maintain attendance registers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of attendance data.
  • Submit attendance registers to the Financial Manager for review and approval.
  • Process employee leave on VIP Payroll and NBCRFLI platform.
  • Verify submission and documentation of all leave forms.
  • Update Performance-Based Reward (PBR) figures.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries.
  • Complete exit procedures including withdrawal forms, UI19 certificates, and certificates of service.
  • Handle employment verifications for third parties.
  • Conduct monthly payroll reviews.
  • Print and distribute payslips to Site HR for employee distribution.
