Payroll Administrator (JB) - Bryanston, Gauteng

R20 to R25 a month CTCPermanent

A renowned global tourism and experience management company is seeking a meticulous and professional Payroll Administrator to join their team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless and accurate execution of payroll functions for employees, collaborating closely with the payroll team to manage contracts, salary frameworks, personnel records, and compliance documentation.

The ideal candidate will support payroll audits, address employee queries, and maintain detailed records of promotions, transfers, and employment changes, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and service excellence.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll administration
  2. Strong mathematical and calculation skills
  3. Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy
  4. Proficiency in SAGE People (essential)
  5. Solid knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles
  6. Familiarity with South African labour legislation
  7. Strong planning, analytical, and organisational skills
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  10. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  11. Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  12. Strong sense of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Submit all necessary payroll documentation to the payroll team in a timely manner
  2. Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records
  3. Ensure compliance with PAYE, UIF, and other statutory deductions
  4. Prepare and distribute payroll reports and reconcile with financial records
  5. Handle employee and external payroll-related queries, including payslips, tax forms, and deductions
  6. Provide VISA and staff loyalty letters as needed
  7. Create and issue salary structures, employment contracts, increase letters, incentive/bonus letters, and other payroll documentation
  8. Accurately process and submit changes in employee information
  9. Ensure promotion and transfer letters are completed, signed, and filed
  10. Review and verify variance reports
  11. Address and resolve Employee Self-Service (ESS) queries
