A leading company in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processes using Sage People. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in payroll administration, advanced Excel skills, and a relevant diploma. Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience as a payroll administrator on Sage People.
  • Experience with weekly & monthly payrolls, including shift workers.
  • Knowledge of the differences between MEIBC and BCEA.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Capturing weekly and monthly hours on Sage People.
  2. Calculating and monitoring overtime per department.
  3. Submitting accurate month-end reports from Sage People.
  4. Managing EEA and Skills Development WSP & ATR submissions.
  5. Capturing leave, sick leave, and family responsibility leave on Sage People.
  6. Exporting hours from Biometrix system and balancing hours on Sage People.
  7. Ensuring correct allocation of hours and shifts on the Biometrix system.
  8. Liaising with HODs regarding employees' shift allocation rosters.
  9. Meticulous capturing of employees' gradings and pay rates on Sage People.
  10. Capturing new employee profiles and updates to personal information.
  11. Calculating employees' leave and bonus payments per MEIBC Main Agreement.
  12. Capturing terminated employees and issuing termination documents as per MIBFA & DOL.
  13. Capturing RMD 5 and SOEs on RMA Portal.
  14. Loading employees' personal information and qualifications on Sage People.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  1. At least 5 years experience as a payroll administrator on Sage People.
  2. Experience with weekly & monthly payrolls, including shift workers.
  3. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  4. Post-matric qualification / diploma / certificate in Payroll Administration.
  5. Preference for Sage People experience.
  6. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  7. Knowledge of the differences between MEIBC and BCEA.
  8. Experience with MERSETA submissions is advantageous.
  9. Experience with Biometrix systems and capturing IODs on RMA System.
