We are currently looking for a meticulous and efficient Payroll Administrator to join our team and support our employees through accurate and timely payroll processing. We are situated in Hilton, KwaZulu Natal.

Job Overview

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with South African labour laws and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees, including adjustments, deductions, and overtime calculations.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all changes are accurately documented and compliant with company policies.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure payroll processes adhere to South African tax and labour regulations, including SARS submissions, EMP201, UIF, and any statutory reporting requirements.
  • Query Resolution: Address payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations for payroll, benefits, and deductions to maintain data integrity and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Data Management: Safeguard sensitive employee information and ensure secure handling of all payroll data.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll administration, with experience in South African payroll processes preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of South African payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory deductions.
  • Skills: Excellent numerical skills, high attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel and payroll software (experience with [Specify Payroll software, e.g., Sage, VIP Payroll] is a plus).
