Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Senior Payroll candidate to join our team. The position will be based at the Fidelity Head Office in Helderkruin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, handling pay-related queries, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a professional approach to handling sensitive financial information.


Qualifications & Skills
  1. Grade 12/Matric.
  2. At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  3. Experience in payroll processing or a related finance role preferred.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
  5. Excellent communication skills – clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all interactions.
  6. Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  7. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Proficiency in payroll software preferably SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  10. Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance is a plus.
  11. Should reside in the West Rand Area.
  12. Own reliable transport.
  13. No Criminal Record.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure adherence to Group Policies and limits of authority regarding payroll processes.
  2. Address and resolve payroll-related queries promptly.
  3. Communicate payroll-related feedback to employees.
  4. Process employee applications, terminations, transfers, and amendments.
  5. Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Process provident fund, medical aid, and funeral scheme applications.
  7. Accurately update and verify bank details for payroll processing.
  8. Calculate and implement approved changes to pay rates.
  9. Handle leave encashments, COIDA payments, and payroll-related queries.
  10. Conduct regular compliance audits and checks to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  11. Handle monthly test packs and ensure timely actioning.
  12. Provide Group Payroll Support, including answering payroll-related queries and managing phone calls professionally.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure proper handling of office equipment, including printers.
  14. Proactively identify and report irregularities.
  15. Work collaboratively as part of a team and take responsibility for assigned duties.
  16. Maintain professionalism, consistency, accuracy, and thorough communication.
  17. Lead by example and uphold integrity in all payroll activities.
