Payroll Administrator - Kempton Park - Automotive Sector

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage full payroll function for salaried staff using Sage Premier, including processing overtime, claims, and commissions on Sage ESS.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of overtime, claims, and commissions.
- Ensure accurate leave checking and control via Sage ESS.
- Handle administration of clocking systems.
- Communicate payroll changes or challenges to Supervisor/Manager promptly.
- Maintain and review payroll processing systems for timely and accurate transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishee orders, taxes, and deductions.
- Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits, maintaining personal files.
- Process all financial capturing and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Update payroll accurately for new hires, terminations, job titles, and pay rate changes, based on monthly inputs.
- Conduct bi-annual reconciliation and submission of EMP via E@syFile.
- Generate employee IRP5s.
- Perform monthly reconciliation and submission of PAYE/SDL/UIF EMPs via E@syFile.
- Handle monthly reconciliation and payments for third-party payments (Medical Aid, MIBCO, Unions, etc.).
- Maintain strong reconciliation, submission, and MIBCO knowledge.
- Apply for tax directives and administer IT88s.
- Submit month-end reports, general ledger entries, and salary journals to the Finance Department.
- Ensure compliance with all industrial labor and tax regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Ensure all documents and reports are processed timely.
- Manage leave reconciliations for annual and monthly payroll.
- Stay updated with company policies and enforce them strictly.
- Manage payslip distribution to various branches.
- Assist with payroll queries and department audits.
- Set an example for team members regarding commitment, work ethic, and professionalism.
- Perform lawful tasks as required by Supervisor and Management.
- Assist with HR-related tasks, events, and organizational activities as needed.
Requirements
- Payroll Diploma or similar qualification.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a payroll position.
- Good knowledge and experience with MIBCO.
- Code 08 driver's license.
- Confident and proactive approach, anticipating issues and requirements.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Package & Remuneration
Monthly salary plus medical aid and provident fund.
