Job summary
An established industry player is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processes effectively. This role involves handling employee engagements, terminations, and ensuring compliance with local laws. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience and proficiency in Sage300 and Sage300 ESS. Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience required.

Responsibilities
- Handle payroll process – Load new engagements, employee internal movement, terminations.
- Load employee's fingerprint for clocking and time and attendance.
- Create final payroll file according to set timeline, ensuring adequate approval flow is respected up to and including bank transfer.
- Send a forecast to the Finance & Controlling Manager of the required amount for each bank one week before executing the salary payment.
- Responsible to create salary transfers instruction to be handed over to all payroll banks (electronically and manually), follow-up on execution on timely manner and archiving of documents.
- Distribute payslips on ESS and print manually for employees with no ESS.
- Send payroll report monthly to Payroll Manager for approval.
- Ensure that all allowances and deductions are applied and aligned with local law and any compensation related to company policy.
- Keep master data accurately at all times.
- Support with Budget process at yearend.
- Monitor the budget.
- Responsible for reporting to management (leave reports, overtime reports, employee movement, eMis reporting).
- Responsible for EMP201s submission.
- Responsible for ROE and EMP501 submission on time with no penalties.
- Responsible for distribution of IRP5s to employees and former employees.
- Prepare and submit third party recons and payments.
- Manage special situations like maternity / temp disabilities.
- Responsible for all HR Controlling reporting, including eMis data upload on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Support with setting ESS access to employees and training.
- Responsible for online Discovery and Momentum reconsideration.
- Support with Mauritius payroll.
- Knowledge and understanding of Bargaining Councils.

- Ability to research, interpret and analyse information.
- Strong MS Office skills especially in Excel and familiarity with HR systems.
- Excellent local language skills and good English skills.
