Job summary

A well-known company in Johannesburg South is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage the full payroll function for approximately 350 employees. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience with SAGE/VIP, strong communication skills, and must possess own transport as travel to another branch may be required. This role involves payroll processing, staff queries, and generating reports.

Job description

Well known company based in Johannesburg South requires a Payroll Administrator for salaries and wages. Individuals who apply must have SAGE / VIP experience. Own transport is essential as you will travel to another branch when required.
You will be responsible for performing a full payroll function, including but not limited to:

Full processing of monthly (±350 employees) and weekly (±15 employees) payrolls:
Collating and processing of payroll information
Input new employees and exits, as well as changes to personal information
Handling staff queries regarding payroll
Distributing payslips (hard copies and Info slips)
Preparing all payroll related reports for the manager
Run month end processes;
Prepare and maintain accurate records;
Year-end processing and reconciliation including payment summaries;
Ad hoc HR and Payroll matters;
Work closely with and provide clerical support to Human Resources;
Conduct and/or assist with new hire orientation;
Capturing and filing of employee documentation;
Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism, and diplomacy
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficient with VIP
Driver’s licence and own car advantageous

Education and Experience:
Minimum Matric/ Grade 12
At least 2 years’ experience working as a Payroll Administrator
At least 2 years’ experience working on VIP
Own transport is required as you will travel to the other branch from time to time
Attention to detail and accuracy is vital for this position
