Payroll Administrator

A Head Office concern based in Springs has a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator.

You will report directly to the Payroll Accountant and be responsible for ensuring effective and accurate in-house production of payroll, ensuring employees are paid on time and that payslips are distributed on a weekly / monthly basis.

You will also coach and mentor Payroll Clerks to promote knowledge transfer.

Minimum Requirements:

1. A completed Matric (with Maths and Accountancy)
2. A Payroll Certificate / Diploma (highly advantageous)
3. 5 years of Payroll experience
4. Proven experience in processing payroll for + employees

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administration of payroll information
2. Checking all payroll and leave input captured
3. Compiling and checking variances and other relevant payroll controls before payroll finalization
4. Providing guidance to Payroll Clerks and business units on the implementation of new payroll forms and processes
5. Validating dismissals / resignations and verifying final pay-outs
6. Resolving second line enquiries timeously and effectively within SLA
7. Reviewing and signing off all interim payments
8. Overseeing payroll filing
9. Printing and distributing payslips on a weekly and monthly basis
10. Planning, organizing, and implementing payroll processes that meet requirements for a successful payroll run daily
11. Reconciling payroll data to third-party vendors
12. Clearing reconciling items via payroll within 30 days
13. Compiling and distributing comprehensive month-end reports to business units
14. Responsible for month-end processes, preparation, and reconciliations
15. Recommending changes or implementing new processes around the payroll system to meet business unit requirements
16. JDE experience highly advantageous
