Job description

To conduct payroll administration for all CHG employees (Monthly and Weekly) and to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related information of all employees and potential recruits.

The incumbent liaises between CHG Head Office and Hospitals to ensure the accuracy of payroll reporting, processing, and adherence to relevant RSA legislation.

Minimum Requirements :
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or Finance.
  • Payroll certification.
  • 3-5 years' experience in payroll.
  • SAP and Excel experience.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Time and Attendance Management Systems (e.g., KRONOS). Healthcare experience will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Ensure all CHG policies and procedures with payroll implications are always followed.
  • Perform quality checks on all relevant information (benefit administration, leave management, workflows) for accurate payroll management.
  • Collaborate with HR to provide dummy payslips for new employees when requested.
  • Prepare UIF documentation supporting terminations, maternity leave, and other processes.
  • Clarify payroll issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Report monthly costs related to salary increases and agency staff expenses.
  • Understand stakeholder needs to deliver quality service.
  • Assist team members and help achieve payroll and finance goals.
  • Respond promptly to payroll queries and requests.
  • Identify repeat failures that contribute to wastage.
  • Maintain payroll documentation for accurate record keeping and compliance.
  • Analyze reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies for decision-making.
  • Engage with external tax authorities as needed (e.g., SARS requests).
  • Ensure data accuracy, review reports before dissemination, and conduct quality assurance.
