Job description

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Payroll Administrator to join a large, multinational logistics company with their South-African Head-Office located in Durban, The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the weekly wage payroll and the monthly learner payroll processing, administration and reporting functions. They will also provide support with the general monthly payroll and month-end processes.

What you'll be Doing :

  • Weekly wage payroll (Extraction of hours from V-Time, Processing in Sage 300, Leave review, Responsibility allowances, New engagements, Exits, Reconciliations).
  • Weekly payroll reporting (GL file extraction, Overtime and wage variance reporting, Sick leave and suspension leave reporting, Payroll filing, Labour cost reallocation reporting).
  • Monthly payroll (Full responsibility for learner payroll, Leave, New engagements, Exits, Reporting).
  • Additional assistance with monthly payroll (Query investigation, Overtime review, PH hours review).
  • Reporting and reconciliations (Overtime and attendance, third-party e.g. MIBCO / Discovery Medical Aid, SARS statutory reconciliations and submissions, ad-hoc assistance to finance).
  • General payroll (Ensuring statutory compliance, ESS administration, Reconciliation and claims checking, UIF documents, IRP5 forms, MIBCO annual increases, MIBCO provident fund claim form submissions).

What you'll need :

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • National Diploma in Human Resources, Finance or Similar.
  • Certification in Sage 300 or similar.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment.
  • Familiarity with the MIBCO Main agreement.
  • Good working knowledge of payroll processes.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
